We Can Help: Working With Your Local Government
Chantelle Laberge, Culture and Tourism Development Officer, Town of Stony Plain
One of the best ways to start or grow your tourism business is through accessing government support.
There are a number of resources, programs, and services available to assist you including training, marketing support, improved access to data and stronger networks.
Let’s work together toward common tourism interests.
Building Strategies for Partnerships:
Lisa Lima, Travel Alberta:
Like most tourism businesses, you’re looking for creative and cost-effective ways to reach new customers and increase your sales. This workshop helps you explore the many ways you can work with other businesses to meet your objectives. You’ll be introduced to information and real-life examples that will show you how partnerships with other businesses can be mutually beneficial. We’ll look at how partnerships can create new experiences for your visitors along with creating new opportunities for your business.
Success Story – Hear from a local business on how they incorporated a tourism aspect into their business plan.
Round Table Discussion – ClearThink: This facilitated conversation is an opportunity for delegates to discuss challenges facing rural tourism in Alberta and develop strategies to help the industry progress.
